Trainor Surveys (1974) Ltd was established in 1959 by John C Trainor, NBLS to provide the land owner with professional consulting & expertise in land development. In January 1992 John retired and long time employees Douglas E Morgan, NBLS, CLS and Lealand O Frizzell, CCT purchased the company. Douglas and his wife Sheila D Morgan, RN purchased the company on May 31, 2002 upon LealandÕs retirement.

Over the years we have continued to grow and diversify by providing a broad range of services. This growth included the acquisition of field notes, files and plans from C F Cook & Associates and Seaboard Surveys (1974) Ltd. Most recently we were given the opportunity to purchase Hitchman Surveys upon the retirement of Ronald Robinson, NBLS. The sale was completed March 1, 2007 and we are pleased to welcome Hitchman Surveys to our growing family.

In the fall of 2008 we started looking at the possibility of opening an office in Sussex. After meetings with the Mayor and Town Manager as well as other local stakeholders, we decided it would be beneficial for Sussex and our business to open an office. February 2009 saw renovations start on our new office on Maple Avenue in downtown Sussex. April 6, 2009 saw the office open for business with 5 employees. We are excited about this expansion and look forward to serving the people in the Sussex area and contributing to their community.

We have grown to 35 full time employees with over 215 years of Professional Surveying and Engineering experience. Our staff includes a Canada Lands Surveyor, New Brunswick Land Surveyors, Professional Engineers, Engineering Technologists & Technicians, trained field technicians and technologists as well as administrative staff.
